About the role
We’re currently seeking a casual Lab Technician to join our high-performing Inorganics team located in the newly built Canning Vale Facility in Perth. This is a technical, laboratory-based role that plays a critical part in ensuring the timely and accurate delivery of results to our clients.
Key Responsibilities
Water and soil Inorganic Chemistry techniques, including Sample weighing, filtration, acid digestion and extraction.
Analysis of samples daily, ensuring key turnaround times and quality guidelines are always met.
Safety: Comply with laboratory safety procedures and proper PPE usage.
Documentation: Complete all documentation accurately and in a timely manner.
Housekeeping: Maintain a clean and organised workspace through regular housekeeping.
Desired Skills and Experience
About You
The ideal candidate will possess:
At least 30 hours of availability Monday to Friday
Exceptional attention to detail
Excellent communication skills (both verbal and written)
Ability to juggle competing priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
A proactive, 'can-do' attitude
A Certificate 4 or degree in Science with a Chemistry major is preferred
Previous experience in a similar role is beneficial
