About the Role

We are looking for a full-time Bottle Preparation Attendant to join our Perth team at the newly developed Canning Vale facility. In this role, you will collaborate with internal teams and external clients, and be responsible for preparing, labelling, and organising sample bottles and containers for client use. This includes inserting Teflon wads into jars/bottles, packaging for dispatch, and bottle orders. The role supports laboratory operations by ensuring the availability of appropriate containers for sample collection. Some shift work will be involved.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare, wash, dry, and label bottles and jars according to laboratory protocols.
  • Insert Teflon wads into soil jars and/or water bottles (where required).
  • Ensure all containers are correctly labelled and ready for dispatch.
  • Monitor inventory and ensure sufficient stock of sample containers.
  • Restock bottle preparation areas and report shortages to the supervisor.
  • Package bottles securely for dispatch, ensuring they are ready for transport.
  • Follow safety protocols, including handling of chemicals and packaging materials.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organisation within the preparation area.
  • Work effectively within a team to address bottle preparation issues.

  • BSc or Certificate IV in Laboratory Techniques is advantageous but not required
